| COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERS
The Greensboro Youth Soccer Community Volunteers program was created in keeping with the GYS commitment toward building character and affecting the personal values development of our young men and women through the positive contributions our organization can make in our community. Through a partnership with the Volunteer Center of Greensboro, we have designed a program that is a purely voluntary opportunity "made available" for those individuals or teams that may wish to begin to find impactful ways to get involved in our community.
The fine staff at the Volunteer Center of Greensboro will facilitate our program. They are available to help with suggesting and customizing either individual, team "carve-out" groups, or with full-team volunteer activities. They are also happy to meet with teams or managers to discuss volunteerism and the many needs in our community. In addition to the service aspect and personal development that volunteerism fosters, GYS Community Volunteers will serve to deepen and add an important "values dynamic" to our teams' personal chemistry and maturity. Also, our schools often require that a certain number of hours of community service be performed throughout the year. GYS Community Volunteers can be a great way to participate!
