Greensboro Youth Soccer has developed a very unique partnership with Guilford Day School in creating the GYS Academic Excellence Program. Many of you know of the superb reputation Guilford Day has in working with students having learning disabilities and attention deficit disorders. They have a magnificent track record for successfully preparing their students for college and beyond. What many may not know, is that Guilford Day has for years maintained one of the best available open-enrollment Community Programs for all the students in our community.

GYS players will be able to participate in a variety of Guilford Day School 's Community Programs, based on individual and group needs. We will be able to waive normal registration fees and benefit from special group discounts through this program. We will also have the ability to customize programs or schedules that fit within the special time demands of the Select soccer player. We are fortunate to have Laura Mlatac, Head of School at Guilford Day School as our program coordinator. Laura herself played classic soccer and understands the unique circumstances young men and women face in balancing and excelling academically and athletically.

Multi-sensory Reading Program

Small Group Sessions

Guilford Day is known for their fine staff of qualified and professional instructors. We very much look forward to continuing our partnership with Guilford Day School, which comes with a special added bonus. They have agreed to allow us access, at no charge, to their library meeting room and large-screen video system for any of our coaches and teams that would like to take advantage of classroom or film sessions. They also will allow us like access to the adjacent Guilford Day soccer field, as individual teams may coordinate.
