Steve was hired as Assistant Director of Coaching for the Twisters in 2003 after leading the Marietta College (OH) Men's Lacrosse Team, while holding down the duties of Men's and Women's Assistant Soccer Coach from 2001-2003.

Prior to Diamond's stint at Marietta College, he served as Assistant Men's Soccer and Lacrosse Coach at Guilford College from 1998-2001. He also has held youth soccer staff coaching assignments with the Boys and Girls programs at the River Valley Soccer Club in Petersburg, WV from 2001-2003.

Diamond began his own youth playing career with the West Islip Soccer Club (NY) and also at West Islip High School and the Newfield Soccer Club. He attended and played his college soccer at Guilford College from 1993-1997, where he was an ODAC All-Conference back.

In addition to his Greensboro Twisters duties, Diamond is the current Assistant Men's Lacrosse Coach at Greensboro College. He lives in Greensboro.
